I’m the creator and author of the Survived by Sunshine lifestyle blog, and I’m here to empower you to find joy in the journey and grow into the remarkable human being you were created to be. I believe all of life’s storms are “survived by sunshine,” and with the right tools, I believe we can weather them with the grace, humility, and confidence it takes to come out stronger on the other side.

A little about me:

I am a simple, small-town Kentucky girl (born and raised) who lives on a secluded 17-acre farm with her husband and Great Pyrenees pup in our fixer-upper turned tiny house.

I am a people-pleaser, over-thinker and aspiring over-achiever. An educator by trade, I love to learn, and I love to lead others to become leaders of their own learning.

Throughout my lifetime, I have known both great joy and immense struggle. I have celebrated, and I have grieved, and I cherish the lessons I have learned from each and every defining experience. I try to live my life as if every day is a miracle, embracing the journey and finding joy in God’s many blessings, big and small.

Above all, I am grateful for that still, small voice that prompted me to pursue this creative outlet as a way to share in His joy and connect with each of you.

This is my happy place, and I can’t wait for you to join me.
